At Navutu Dreams, we do not just offer dining options but we also provide a variety of culinary experiences – thanks to our Resident Chef Sotho, the man behind the amazing food as well as the unique dining experiences offered at Siem Reap resort & wellness retreat.

Chef Sotho Yem, Navutu Dreams' Resident ChefChef Sotho Yem has worked in the culinary field for over 15 years. Hailing from Siem Reap, Cambodia, he became interested in the culinary arts at a young age. He began his career in the hospitality industry as a kitchen steward back in 2003. Truly determined to become a professional chef, he then joined a 5 star luxury resort in Siem Reap in 2004 where he had the opportunity to learn different cooking techniques and hone his culinary skills through working with other Executive and Master Chefs. In 2009, he became an Executive Chef at a fine dining restaurant, creating Asian menus with a Western twist.

Chef Sotho Yem, Navutu Dreams' Resident ChefHis honest-to-goodness cuisine highlights the best of Khmer and international fares, using only the finest local produce and the freshest ingredients. Not only are his food creations flavorful, but they are also visually stunning. “Food presentation is just as important to the success of a dish as its flavor and taste. The food you are serving has to be appetizing which makes guests want to try it..”, he says.

Chef Sotho Yem, Navutu Dreams' Resident ChefIn his current role as a Resident Chef, Chef Sotho is in charge of menu creation and the over-all food operations at Navutu Dreams. In addition to that, he leads Siem Reap food tours which take guests to an organic farm to pick their own greens and spices needed for the cooking session with him. Romantic couples can expect a delectable dining experience for two at our rooftop terrace or by the serenity of our tropical gardens. Health conscious are also well catered for with his specially crafted wellness menu where standouts include Green Goddess Soup, Detox Salad and Mediterranean Wellness Platter. Expats and locals living in Siem Reap may also join us for lunch or dinner with Chef’s Weekly Specials at our on-site restaurant.
