Yoga Instructor & Holistic Healer: Margaret Ulrich
Margaret Ulrich is a holistic healer and writer with fifteen years of health and wellness education. Along with more than a decade of practicing yoga and becoming a reiki master, yoga instructor and holistic wellness coach, she has also devoted many years to studying and practicing meditation. She follows the wisdom of renowned teachers, including Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, through their written works and expressions of their lives.
She has also studied under Buddhist monk Kelsang Tabkay from Kadampa Meditation Center, completed the course Buddhism and Modern Psychology through Princeton University, and completed a 9-day silent retreat and Buddhism course at Tushita Meditation Centre in Dharamshala, India with the Venerable Tony Beaumont. She has lived in Cambodia for four years and provided individual healing work for locals, foreign residents and travelers.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner: Julien Adam
Julien Adam is a French Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner whose humble beginnings started as a physiotherapist looking for ways to help people around him. He then realized the limitations of what he can do so he devoted his time in studying more. Julien’s interest in health brought him close to Chinese medicine and reluctantly found himself lost in the healing power of the art. He then continued his pursuit of expanding his knowledge of modern techniques and classical teachings by receiving training in osteopathy.
After working for 16 long years in France, he wanted to travel around and see how he can be of more impact. Now being a resident in Asia, Julien fell in love with Siem Reap. He has lived in Cambodia for the past six months and has been actively doing treatments from acupuncture, acupressure, osteopathy, TCM and many more.
Moving to Siem Reap has opened new doors for discovering different techniques with his treatments, being a medical specialist he incorporates all of these elements to his therapies to make it more effective. He’s also a long time practitioner of Qi Gong, Tai Chi and for him, maintaining harmony with your whole-being is one of the best thing you could achieve in your lifetime.
Fitness and Life Coach: Jay Sapphire
“Don’t be lazy”, is what we normally hear from a gym instructor. Jay Sapphire, our fitness and life coach’s mentality of “let’s do it” will make you want to keep going. Pursuing a career in culinary in London made him realize what he really wanted in life. Had a chance to work with world-renowned chefs which got him thinking about fitness being his sole focus.
Raised in Australia in a family where being fit is the norm, Jay understood the importance of health. At the age of 25, he started to take fitness seriously. He received professional trainings and became a licensed fitness instructor. Over the years, he trained with professional athletes all over the globe. He continues to share a life where failure doesn’t exist and trying is all that matters.
From body sculpture, trial run, water power workout and many more, he breathes training and constantly seeks ways to impact lives. It’s never too late to give it a try so come run with Jay.

Pranayama Meditation starts from US$40.00++ pp
This is a sunrise or early morning private yoga at a local pagoda or at an Angkorian temple. Administered by one of our wellness experts, the session will last for 60 minutes. You will be transferred by the resort to and from the temple on a tuk-tuk. Water, mat and towels will be provided by the resort. 48 hours prior reservation required. Subject to teacher’s availability. To respect the sanctity of the temple grounds, class admittance is limited to 4 people. A private yoga session at a local pagoda is priced at US$50.00++ per person minimum of two or US$80.00++ per person while a private yoga session at Phnom Krom is priced at US$90.00++ per person minimum of two persons.

Embrace the serenity and sense of romance sunset brings to the mind, body and soul with destination-inspired activity, a ‘’Sacred Sunset Meditation at Wat Svay Romeat by Navutu Dreams.’’ It is a guided meditation to be led by one of Navutu Yoga’s wellness retreat masters done amidst the sacred space of the beautiful Wat Svay Romeat Pagoda. A guided sunset meditation is priced at US$50.00++ per person minimum of two or US$80.00++ per person.
Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of applying pressure by creating a vacuum on the skin to dispel stagnant blood and lymph nodes, thereby improving Qi flow. Cupping is commonly used to treat respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia and bronchitis. Cupping also is used on the back, neck, shoulder and for other musculoskeletal conditions. Cupping therapy is also used to open the conduits in the body through which energy flows, called meridians. There are five meridians on the back that, when opened, allow invigorating energy to travel the length of the body. It has been found that cupping is probably the best way of opening those meridians. Cupping aids tissues to release toxins, activates the skin and lymphatic system, clears stretch marks, and activates and clears veins, arteries and capillaries. Navutu’s T.C.M. specialist administers all procedures after a thorough evaluation/consultation.

Acupuncture is an alternative medicine that treats patients with the insertion and manipulation of thin, solid needles in the body. Since its origins in Ancient China, acupuncture has been embedded in the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM. Its general theory is based on the premise that bodily functions are regulated by the flow of an energy-like entity called Qi (chi). Illness is caused by obstructed energy flow at certain points along the body’s meridians, or energy channels. Acupuncture therapy stimulates meridian flow and harmonizes the body’s energy to influence the health of both body and mind.
It is very successful in treating neck pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain, sciatica, hip pain, arthritis, sports injuries, anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine headaches, sinus problems, vertigo, asthma, acne, eczema, allergy, constipation, hypertension, menstrual and PMS problems, infertility, smoking addiction, alcohol dependence, detoxification, obesity and weight control…. to name a few.

If you’re looking for a complete break in beautiful surroundings, accompanied by very warm-hearted people, Navutu Dreams is the place for you. I spent a total of 7 days there and took part in the ‘Detox of the Mind’ programme, and Navutu Dreams became my refuge and my home for the entirety of my stay. From the first moment when my husband and I were greeted personally by Sarah, to the last when we said goodbye to the tuk-tuk driver who became my husband’s friend for the week, I felt cared for with genuine interest and attention. Many of the staff knew me by name and were always ready to help.The Wellness Programme itself was just what I had hoped it would be – a real tonic after busy times that helped me to explore and reconnect with what’s really important both to me and for me – guided and supported every step of the way by the lovely Louise, who I feel has now become a friend. Louise has a genuine gift for healing and is extremely knowledgeable in many areas of eastern philosophy, which apply to us all, and her approach is uniquely personal to her, which makes time spent with her all the more inviting to share. The 5-day programme consisted of group and personal yoga sessions, Pranayama meditation and energy healing, sound healing and a daily massage, not to mention the opportunity to talk and discuss whatever was pertinent to me at the time (without it turning into counselling).In summary, I can not express how grateful I feel to have been able to enjoy and learn from the time I spent at Navutu; if you feel able to arrive with your heart and mind open to all possibilities, I would highly recommend.
I normally visit a yoga retreat in Thailand but I wanted to try something different this year so found Navutu online. When I arrived, I thought it would be ten days of yoga and spa treatments and some time to visit the temples nearby. What I got was something much deeper than that. Louise tailored my stay to suit me – we met on the first evening to discuss my wellness programme and it involved so much more than physical treatments and yoga. I have never done any holistic healing before but I opened my mind to the possibilities and what I got was incredible. Through breathing, meditation and yoga practice, as well as spiritual healing and using Louise’s expertise, I gained so much more than physical relaxation, I felt mentally relaxed too. Louise taught me some excellent practices that I have brought home to the UK to practice daily which is already helping me cope with the demands of everyday modern life. I would thoroughly recommend Navutu and particularly Louise’s wellness programmes.
I chose Navutu Dreams in Siem Reap for a yoga and wellness retreat. My expectations were fully met: from the friendly staff and beautiful grounds, to the clean room and delicious traditional food. I was most impressed with the yoga/ meditation teachers and spiritual advisors who led the yoga and wellness program. They were knowledgeable, personable and very helpful. Everything was well thought of and well organized. The resort’s traditional massage offerings are also exceptional. I would happily return for another visit to Navutu Dreams and architecturally breathtaking Siem Reap.
